EXHIBITION LAUNCH EVENT - 19th Sept 2020 at 2-00pm - Sawyer Gallery - all welcome

Taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary is the remit of a planned mixed media  exhibition, scheduled for September 2020, at the Sawyer Gallery, Inverewe Garden.

Sam and Adrian will be developing the theme of Coasts and Waters incorporating drawing, painting, and photography to produce various pieces including a mixed media ‘mosaic’ over 3m long.

The collaboration between mixed media artist Sam Banister and photographer Adrian Hollister, both local to Inverewe, promises to be an innovative pairing. Each has a different approach to work in their respective media and both have had their work widely exhibited and published.  Adrian’s work tends to focus on the whole, and is hugely influenced by his interest in ‘what happens when you break through the traditional boundaries between art forms’. Sam, on the other hand, is fascinated by minutiae and texture, looking for a landscape within a landscape, and presenting it with an innovative use of media.
